Lao Tieguanyin Nong Xiang, 1995

Lao TieGuanYin Nong Xiang | “Iron Goddess” or “Iron Guanyin”

Gande, Anxi, Fujian province, China.

Greatly aged 1995 traditional baked Teguanin. It differs from the modern TeGuanien (Qing Xiang). It has a stronger roast, which gives the tea a more roasted, smoked, sweet taste. Tea was kept in a private warehouse at one of our friend merchants. Tea is perfectly preserved thanks to vacuum packaging and careful storage. Handmade tea, perfectly preserved its integrity.

The aroma of heated tea leaves is filled with fried eggplants and black seeds. The infusion is golden in color, soft and soft, with notes of white sweet wine and champagne on the palate and notes of bay leaf and grape in the finish. The taste of tea is deep, with a long finish. Tea has a pleasant and tangible Cha Qi. Great aged tea that will delight anyone.

Harvest: Spring, 1995.

“Such teas are a great rarity these days. For me, this tea is primarily interesting from a historical point of view. That is exactly what Teguanin did 25 years ago before Qing Xiang became fashionable.”

Andrei Ivanov (IPN.LV Tea master)
