Dong Fang Mei Ren | "Oriental Beauty"
Hsinchu, Taiwan
This is a unique, highland oolong. Real ceremonial tea of the highest mastery, prepared according to a very sophisticated technology. It has an unusual taste and aroma.
This tea is also called "Peng Feng", "Bai Hao Oolong" or "Oolong Champagne". This is one of the finest teas produced on the island of Taiwan.
For the production of this tea uses the highest quality raw materials, a combination of a young "bud and two leaves". The peculiarity of this tea is that the tea leaves are attacked by the so-called "green-winged cicadas", small insects that feed on the tea leaf juice. As a result of this, tea leaves begin to ferment before harvest time, the chemical composition changes, which leads to the fact that after a long and complex production process, tea has an exquisite taste and aroma.
This tea is perfect at all stages of brewing, from the aroma of dry tea leaves to the aroma in an empty bowl. There are notes of grapes, lychee, almond, flowers, and honey. It is simply impossible to describe the sophistication of this tea in words.
