Amazing vintage yunomi teacup made in the style of "Karatsu". The author is the famous Japanese ceramist Masadu Toukei, representing the Enichi-gama kiln. Made more than 20 years ago, it was in the collection of a Japanese collector and we got it from him. The master's seal stands on the base of the bowl.
Coated with a high iron ash glaze and rice straw ash glaze, after firing, it has acquired a unique “flowing” texture that can be admired forever. The texture of the bowl brings unforgettable tactile delights to the tea ceremony. An excellent example of the aesthetic world outlook cultivated in Japan called "Wabi-Sabi".
One of a kind!
