Feng Huang Song Zhong Dan Cong | “Single bush from the Phoenix mountains”, old bushes from the Song dynasty
Wu Dong, Guangdong, China
This is highly fermented oolong. Lightly roasted. Classical Chinese tea with a long history. Produced in a small family production where the head of the family master Lee produces 15 varieties of Dan Cong using family recipes already 60 years.
This is a high-mountain tea from 120 years old wild tea bushes. Quality raw materials and experience of a master turns into the highest quality tea.
Dry tea leaves have a sweet honey aroma with perfume and confectionery notes. Floral, fruity notes appear during the infusion. The taste is very rich, soft, with notes of honey, custard, and sweet potato. No bitterness and astringency, which is often found in such tea. Very powerful and long-lasting finish. Tea evokes associations of a flower shop and a bit of a sauna. Gives a clear meditative, tea state.
