Wakoucha | "Japanese black tea "
Shizuoka, Tuba, Honshu, Japan
This is a simple but at the same time worthy representative of black (red) tea from Japan. Strong oxidation gives this tea a deep, rich taste.
When dry, tea leaves have a sweet, baked aroma with a note of black currant. The taste of the infusion is soft, delicate, with notes of dried plum, honey, burnt sugar, and blackcurrant.
Cultivar: Benifuki
Harvest: Spring, 2021.
