"Lao" is translated from Chinese as "Old". This term is used in relation to old teas aged under special conditions for many years and even decades. As a rule, over time, the taste of such tea becomes softer, deeper and richer. Lao teas are credited with medicinal properties and "tea state" (or as it is called in China, Cha Qi), a special harmonizing effect.

Sheng puerh tea is naturally aged tea, which means that such tea is kept for a long time in special conditions in order to improve its taste and useful properties. One of the main features of such tea is that the leaves of old trees are harvested for its production, which greatly distinguishes it from plantation tea. Due to the peculiarity of processing the tea leaf, the fermentation process continues inside, which greatly changes it over time. Sheng puerh taste is deep and multifaceted. The quality of such tea depends on three factors: the quality of the raw materials, the quality of its processing and the quality of the storage conditions.
