Hunan Hei Cha | "Black Tea from Hunan Province"
Anhua, Hunan, China
The unique form of pressing this tea pleasantly surprises even those who are accustomed to the quirks of ingenuity Chinese tea producers. Grassy, soft, smoky, warm and good-natured are hidden in the tightly stretched bamboo leaves that form the cylindrical shape of a log. But there are other forms, for example, classic "bricks", or briquettes. Black Tea from Hunan also has a good potential for aging, so if necessary, it is worth trying an aged Hunan Hei Cha.
Harvest: Spring, 2007.
