Gao Shan Dian Lu | “High mountain Yunnan green
Simao, Yunnan, China
This tea is grown high in the mountains of Simao district in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, China. Thanks to a high altitude, special variety, and specific climate conditions, this tea is unique in its special aroma and taste. This is the first spring harvest, of very high-quality green tea that is completely handmade. Thanks to the raw leaf material, this green tea has much more potential to stay fresh longer than other green teas. Like sheng puerh, with proper storage, this tea gets better with time.
The dry leaves have a very sweet floral aroma with some creamy nuances. After rinsing, the aroma develops into grassy, herbaceous notes with baked fruit and vegetable tones. Freshness brings out some sea associations. The taste is deep and smooth with floral, and jasmine notes. The texture is creamy and the tea has a long-lasting aftertaste with little astringency. Refreshing and satisfying tea.
