There are two different types of PUER tea! SHENG PUER - naturally aged, and SHOU PUERH - artificially aged. SHENG PUERH is usually aged for several years, or even decades, to enjoy the taste, which during this time has developed and become softer, deeper and more versatile. SHOU PUERH initially undergoes a long fermentation process, as a result of which it has a rich, soft and deep taste with a very dark infusion. Both soft and deep, but they are different and have very different tastes and characters. The price of such tea depends on the quality of raw materials (tea leaves), the work of the tea master (processing), storage conditions, and the aging period. For easier storage, it is pressed into various shapes such as cakes, nests, bricks, etc.
One of the main features of these teas is that they are made from leaves picked from wild, old tea trees. Such raw materials give a deeper and stronger taste, which gets better over time. One and the same tea, over time, develops, each time revealing in a new way! The taste of this tea is always complex, with a lot of different notes and associations. Tea literally plays with our imagination, which turns the tea event into an exciting journey. One thing is for sure, these are very unusual and interesting teas that are definitely worth trying.
And now about how to navigate our assortment of PUERH tea! In fact, everything is very simple! The entire PUERH is divided into 3 categories.
SHENG/SHOU PUERH "Country" - this category includes puerh made in small family enterprises, made from first-class raw materials using traditional technology, pressed under a stone and dried in the sun. Despite the fact that this is the first level, it is already very high quality and will satisfy absolutely any connoisseur of Puerh tea. Typically, this is an aged tea, which is 5 to 10 years old, and which already boasts a deep and soft taste. When stored properly, this tea only gets better.
We recommend starting with this category to gradually develop your taste assessment skills.
SHENG/SHOU Puerh "Premium" - this includes puerhs from famous tea factories: Menghai Factory, Shuangjiang Mengku, Xiaguan, Haiwan, etc. This tea is made from premium quality raw materials and is blended into a perfect "recipe" by a team of experienced technologists. This puerh has a complex, balanced and deep taste. As a rule, this category is aged on average for about 10-15 years in special conditions, which also plays a special role in the development of the taste of tea. We select special recipes that meet all the requirements of connoisseurs of Puerh tea.
The range is constantly changing and very often we have several options to choose from for each category! To find out what tea is currently in stock, contact us and we will be happy to tell you about what we have to offer.
SHENG/SHOU Puerh "Collection" is a special category of tea that has this status due to its rarity. As a rule, this is a product released under the CNNP label (China National Native Product) and belongs to the old era of puerh teas, which are quite different from modern ones. Such tea is a big rarity, since storage conditions play an important role here. This tea is usually over 20 years old. Here "time" comes into play, reflecting in complex tastes, aromas and a strong relaxing effect, which in the East is called the "Tea state" or "Cha Qi".

There is another category for SHENG PUERH, which is called "Single Origin", which can be translated as "(Tea) from one (specific) area." This means that the tea leaves used in these blends were picked in a specific place(mountain). There are famous mountains where there are many wild old and even ancient tea trees, the leaves of which have special tastes, aromas, and character. We select the highest quality and noblest to give you the opportunity to touch the authentic and original. The name of such puerh teas usually sounds like this: "YiWu GuShu Sheng /Shou" , where YiWu is the name of the mountains, GuShu means that the leaves from old trees. We invite you to get acquainted with puerh tea from some of the "top" places of Yunnan province and fall in love with these teas, if not at first, then certainly at second sight.
